The second movie screening room and new public toilets at the Narooma Kinema should be up and running in four to six weeks.

The new 35-seat section will enable the Kinema to expand their independent film screening as well as playing more mainstream movies.

Owner and manager of the Kinema, John Griffiths said there is some small building works to be completed.

After that “It’s just a matter of setting it up with all the electronics and finishing off with the final touches, the curtain, seating and carpets,” Mr Griffiths said.

The Narooma School of Arts group assisted with the construction of a new toilet block facility on the top floor.

The new amenities include a baby change table and access suitable for older and disabled people.

An official opening event to celebrate the new movie section will be hosted later in the year.
